Family and Faith
Jan Wagner is a long-time resident of central Ohio. She and her late husband raised their three daughters in Columbus and she has been fortunate to have all three of them return home. She is blessed with six grandchildren who visit often. A life-long practicing Catholic, she believes she is called to make a positive impact in this world through helping others.
Healthcare and Education
Jan Wagner spent years as a cardiac ICU nurse before returning to school to complete her PhD in education. She then worked to build health care programs, educating young people in professions that provide care for others. She served as the Chair of the Department of Nursing at Columbus State Community College and then the Dean of Workforce Development where she created career ladders from certificate programs through more advanced degrees. Jan believes in empowering our youth through education.
Servent Leadership
Jan Wagner is a life-long servant leader. She was a co-founder of the Homeless Families Foundation in Columbus and served on the Board of the Amethyst Foundation. After retiring, she developed a faith-based community nursing program while spending her weekends as a hospice nurse to help those nearing end of life. Jan has spent her life working for her community.
